Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday laid the foundation stones for multiple development projects worth Rs 5,950 crore in the Mehsana district of the state, on the first day of his two-day visit. "His service and nationalism were so strong that he started a tradition of sacrifices and he became a symbol of sacrifices. Last year, our government developed the Mangarh Dham on a national level..." he said. The Prime Minister further said that he had the chance to visit the Ambaji Temple before coming for the event.
"... The way the 'Gabbar' (a small hillock to the west of Ambaji village believed to be the original seat of the goddess) is being developed, I spoke about it in the 'Mann ki Baat' yesterday... Today developmental projects worth Rs. 6000 crore have been announced... These projects will strengthen the farmers... These will create connectivity with the whole country... All districts around Mehsana would be benefitted because of these projects...." the PM said.
