Vadodara Techie Held For Social Media Post On 'Bomb Threat' At Anant Ambani's Wedding
The Mumbai police were on high alert after a social media post by an X user @ffsfir wrote about a potential bomb threat at the wedding venue of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.
A 32-year-old engineer from Gujarat has been arrested by the crime branch of Mumbai police over his social media post about a bomb threat at the wedding of Anant Ambani, the youngest son of industrialist Mukesh Ambani, in Mumbai last week, an official said.
The accused was identified as Viral Shah, a resident of Vadodara, and arrested on Tuesday he said.
"He was nabbed this morning by the Mumbai police's crime branch from his residence in Gujarat," he said, reported PTI.

The Mumbai police were on high alert after a social media post by an X user @ffsfir wrote about the potential threat which reads like "My mind is wondering shamelessly that half the world would go upside down tomorrow after a bomb went off at the Ambani wedding. trillions of dollars in one pin code."
Security at the wedding event was heightened by the police following the post.
"The police also launched an investigation into the potential threat," he said.
During the investigation, the X user was traced to Vadodara after which a team of the Mumbai crime branch was sent to the city in the neighbouring state, said the official. The acccused has been apprehended and was being brought to Mumbai, the official added, according to the PTI report.
The larger-than-life wedding ceremony of Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Asia's richest man Mukesh Ambani and Radhika Merchant, heiress to pharma tycoons Viren and Shaila Merchant took place on July 12 at Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).
The star-studded event was attended by celebrities across the globe, top cricketers, who's who of Hindi and South cinema and top politicians of the country.
