PM Modi Announces Rs 1 Lakh Cr Job Push, Hits Out At RJD Over Land Scam At Bihar Rally

PM Modi announces Rs 1 lakh crore push for youth employment at Bihar rally; targets RJD, accusing it of grabbing land from the poor in exchange for jobs during its previous tenure.

At a rally in Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the Centre will invest ₹1 lakh crore to create job opportunities for the country’s youth. He also took a swipe at the RJD, accusing the party of being incapable of providing employment and alleging that it seized land from poor people in exchange for jobs during its time in power.

'Banayenge Naya Bihar, Phir Ek Baar NDA Sarkar'

Coining a new slogan ahead of the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, the Prime Minister said, "Banayenge naya Bihar, phir ek baar NDA sarkar" (Let’s build a new Bihar, once again an NDA government), rallying support for the alliance in the state.

UPA Took Revenge on Bihar, Says PM

Highlighting the disparity in central assistance, Modi said that during the 10 years of the UPA rule (Congress and RJD), Bihar received only around ₹2 lakh crore. He alleged that the UPA was taking “revenge” on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s government, and by extension, on the people of Bihar. “In 2014, when you gave me the chance to serve at the Centre, I ended that old politics of taking revenge on Bihar,” he told the crowd, emphasizing that both the central and state governments are now working together to accelerate the state’s development.

While addressing a rally in Bihar’s East Champaran district on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was drawn to a man in the crowd carrying a replica of Ayodhya’s Ram temple. Acknowledging the gesture, the PM quickly directed the Special Protection Group (SPG), responsible for his security, to collect the replica, assuring the man that his effort would be recognised. “Young man, have you brought it for me?” said Modi, barely a couple of minutes into his speech.

“I request the SPG to collect this gift. And I assure you, young man, that you will receive a letter from me,” the prime minister said. Expressing his joy, Modi added, “It is a matter of great delight that I had a darshan of the Ram temple in the land which happens to be the birthplace of Goddess Sita.”
