Paris Olympics 2024: Rafael Nadal Loses To Novak Djokovic In Possibly Their Final Faceoff In Men's Singles

Paris Olympics 2024: Novak Djokovic registered a straight-sets win over Rafael Nadal in what could be the final faceoff of the two legendary tennis stars.

Paris Olympics 2024: The two legends of world tennis Rafeal Nadal of Spain and Novak Djokovic of Serbia possibly faced off each other for one final time in a competitive men's singles tennis match in Paris Olympics 2024. Djkovic eased past Nadal in the opening set 6-1 and even though Nadal made Djokovic work hard in the second set, it was ultimately a straight sets win for the Serbian as he won the second set 6-4.

At one stage that it would be a walk in the park for Djokovic in the second set too but Nadal did find a way to break back for the first time in the match after over an hour's play. The two-time Olympic champion though had left himself a bit too much to do in the end.

Even though Nadal bows out of the men's singles tennis tournament of Paris Olympics 2024, he is not done yet and will compete in the men's doubles for Spain, where he will be teaming up with Carlos Alcaraz.

Novak Djokovic Yet To Win An Olympic Medal

As far as Djokovic is concerned, an Olympic medal seems to be the only major achievement missing from the 24-time Grand slam winner's envious career. The Serb is one of the contenders to bag a medal and would be eyeing for nothing less than a gold in the men's singles tennis competition.

The Serb has done no harm to his reputation either with convincing wins in his first two matches but he will have sterner test ahead of him as he progresses further in the competition.
