In view of the Olympic Games, however, a state emergency was declared in Tokyo only last week. Restaurants and bars will close early and no alcohol will be served during the Olympics.
The number of Covid-19 cases in Japan has been increasing daily since June and experts believe that the number will reach thousands during the Olympics. So far 828000 Covid-19 cases and 15000 deaths have been reported in Japan.
