Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports on Thursday (January 2) announced Khel Ratna Award for Hockey team Captain Harmanpreet Singh, Olympic double medalist Manu Bhaker, Paralympic Gold medallist Praveen Kumar and Chess World Champion Gukesh D.

The prestigious Khel Ratna Awards will be presented to the recipients by the President of India on January 17, 2025, at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The ceremony is scheduled to take place at 11:00 AM.

The Ministry Sports also announced names of 32 athletes who have been selected for Arjuna Award. Among the 32, 17 are para-athletes. The list includes distinguished names from various sports:
