Samuels-Stokes Rivalry Renewed: Shane Warne Slams Marlon Samuels For His Disgusting Response To Stokes' Harmless Jibe

Reacting to the harmless jibe from Ben Stokes, Marlon Samuels opened a can of worms as he used profanity for Stokes and his family and even came up with a verbal assault on his wife.

In the season 13 of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Ben Stokes has been in great form. In his last game, Stokes scored an unbeaten century to help Rajasthan Royals win against Mumbai Indians (MI). England's national hero Ben Stokes joined Rajasthan Royals in the middle of the season as he had to stay in quarantine for 14 days before joining his RR teammates.

Sharing his quarantine experience during a podcast, Stokes mentioned Marlon Samules, he said:  “I posted a few Instagram stories and some of the England boys were messaging me asking what it’s like and I was saying it wasn’t the most enjoyable thing you ever have to do, I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy,” Stokes recently told TMS. “I text my brother saying the same thing, and my brother asked: ‘You wouldn’t even do that to Marlon Samuels?’ I said ‘no, it’s that bad’ – that’s how tough it was,” he had added.

All this was said jokingly by Ben Stokes but West Indies batsman Marlon Samuels did not like it at all and responded to Stokes by sharing a distasteful story on his Instagram account. Marlon Samuels opened a can of worms as he used profanity for Stokes and his family and even came up with a verbal assault on his wife.

"ICC cricketing world ben b**ch stokes Shane b**ch warn and a few b**ch west indians cricketers who sell out sextillion7thpower is nothing to f**k with my army bigger and we richer (Sic)," he wrote.

For the unversed, tensions and on-field rivalry has been there between Stokes and Windies all-rounder Marlon Samuels since 2015. Apart from this, differences between the two players were also seen during the 2016 T20 World Cup.  Stokes also wrote about Marlon Samuels in his book that he does not like him at all.

Reacting to disgusting post from Samuels, Shane Warne took to social media to term the Stokes-Samuels controversy as a 'sad situation' and revealed that not even Samuels former teammates get along with him. The legendary leg-spinner also opined that the ex-Jamaican cricketer should seek help. "I’ve just been sent what Samuels has posted re @benstokes38 & I. It’s a very sad situation as he obviously needs serious help-but has no friends at all & not even his ex teammates like him. Just because you were an ordinary cricketer-no need to be an ordinary person. Get help son," Warner tweeted.
