After MS Dhoni's retirement, team India will play its first series next month. On Monday, the selection committee announced a 32-member Indian team without Dhoni for the tour of Australia

Indian cricket team's most successful captain MS Dhoni retired from international cricket on August 15, about almost a month before the start of the 13th season of IPL. Dhoni was away from the sport and had not played for his national team since their exit from the 2019 World Cup. Finally, after being 15 months away from cricket, he decided to say goodbye to international cricket. Although, Mahi is still playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
After Dhoni's retirement, team India will play its first series next month. On Monday, the selection committee announced a 32-member Indian team without Dhoni for the tour of Australia. After the team announcement, BCCI paid tribute to the two-time World Cup winning captain ahead of the national team's next assignment against Aussies.
Dhoni is currently busy in the IPL in UAE and is not part of the Indian squad that will fly from Dubai to Sydney after the IPL gets over. Before beginning a new era with Indian cricket, BCCI has changed the cover photo of its official Twitter handle, as a tribute to MS Dhoni with the hashtag #ThankYouMSDhoni. The cover photo by BCCI to 'salute' legend Dhoni has become increasingly viral on social media.

MS Dhoni-Led CSK's Poor Form In The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020!
For Dhoni, IPL 2020 was like a nightmare. The Chennai Super Kings are the first team to be eliminated from the IPL this season. Dhoni's future as CSK's skipper has been questioned due to poor performance of CSK in this season. For the first time under Dhoni's captaincy, Chennai Super Kings failed to qualify for the playoffs.
Meanwhile, such speculations were also being made that after international cricket, Dhoni's career in IPL is almost over. But the Chennai Super Kings CEO has given a positive statement that will definitely cheer up Dhoni fans. He has confirmed that the management wants Dhoni to continue as CSK skipper and lead the franchise in IPL 14.
IPL 2020: Will MS Dhoni Play For CSK In Their Remaining Games This Season?
In his interviews after the match and other such interactions, Dhoni has indicated that he will definitely take part in the remaining matches for CSK. But considering the way Dhoni is giving his autographed jerseys to the young players after every match, speculations are being made that Mahi might even end his IPL career.
“If you don't do well, it does hurt and so you amplify a few emotions so that the guys don't leave the games. We don't really have a chance to make it to the play-offs, leave the mathematical part of it. But three, three and a half hours out there can get really painful. You have to tell them - let's go out there and give it your best shot and enjoy the game whatever the result might be. If you aren't out there enjoying, it becomes very painful,” Dhoni said after CSK defeated RCB in their recent game.
