IPL 2025: Delhi Capitals medium-pacer Mohit Sharma has reflected his joy on the franchise's decision to appoint Axar Patel as the skipper of the side for the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League.
The 36-year-old, in an interview with ANI, called Axar Patel a good player, and said that he is 'super proud' of him with his growth over the years.

"I am very excited for the upcoming IPL season. The preparations are going pretty well, and we are also keeping a check on our bodies, in cocnern with the physical fitness and fatigue that comes with the training. There's new staff and players in DC this time around. I'm looking forward to it, let's see, because we have a strong bonding off-the-field, and let's hope that remains the same on-the-field as well," said Mohit Sharma.
"(On Axar Patel) Super proud! Super Proud. His whole cricketing journey has been observed by me over the years. I'm pretty known about his seriousness for this sport, and I also applaud his evolution in this game over the years, the way he enhanced his playing style. Not just me, the entire Delhi feels proud on him," he added.
