Coach Fleming revealed MS Dhoni hasn't said anything of the sort to him (that he will retire after IPL 2023).
"No, he (MS Dhoni) hasn't indicated anything," Fleming said.
After CSK’s win over Kolkata in their IPL 2023 match, Dhoni had said that the home crowd at the Eden Gardens along with those at other stadiums, are bidding him farewell.
"I will just say thanks for the support; they came in big numbers. Most of these guys will come in a KKR jersey next time. They are trying to give me a farewell, so thanks a lot to the crowd," he said.
Earlier, Dhoni had said that he was in the final phase of his career.
"All said and done, it's the last phase of my career, however long I play. After two years, the fans have had the opportunity to come here and watch, it feels good to be here. The crowd has given us a lot of love and affection. Not getting enough chances to bat, but no complaints," Dhoni had said.
Chennai Super Kings will aim to return to winning ways when they square off against Lucknow Super Giants in match number 45 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at Ekana Sports Stadium on May 3 (Wednesday).
