Kolkata Knight Rider (KKR) became the IPL Champions for the first time in 2012 and again in 2014. It was under the captaincy of Gautam Gambhir.  After having some poor seasons early on in the competition’s history, KKR bounced back in 2011 when they qualified for the play-offs for the first time.

Since then, it has been a bumpy ride with KKR barely surviving the playoffs. 

This year, under the newfound energy of Shreyas Iyer, the Knights will look to reenergize their squad.
