'Wo Majboor Hain': Shahid Afridi Reacts After Facing Wrath For His Anti-India Remarks

Just a few days back, many former Indian cricket team players like Gautam Gambhir, Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh had lashed out at Shahid Afridi for his anti-India remarks.

Lahore: Despite facing wrath for his anti-India remarks, Pakistan's former skipper Shahid Afridi once again come out with an outrageous claim. This time the disgraced all-rounder stated that the citizens of India are being oppressed. Just a few days back, many former Indian cricket team players like Gautam Gambhir, Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh had lashed out at him for his anti-India remarks. "I'll remain thankful towards Harbhajan & Yuvraj for supporting my foundation. The real problem is that this is their compulsion. They live in that country. 'Wo majboor hain.' They know that people are being oppressed in their country. I won't say anything further," Afridi said on Pakistan channel Hum News. Both Yuvraj and Harbhajan had to face flak from India fans for donating to Afridi's charity in the fight against the deadly COVID-19. "It was Afridi who requested me and Yuvi to do a video in support of his foundation as the spread of pandemic doesn't see religion or borders. But then he would time and again make anti-India comments," Harbhajan told PTI. "I feel terrible that I even called him a friend. He is not a worthy human being who can be called a friend. I am done with calling Afridi a friend," he added. Yuvraj echoed the sentiment in a tweet. "Really disappointed by @SAfridiOfficial's comments on our Hon'b PM @narendramodi ji. As a responsible Indian who has played for the country, I will never accept such words. I made an appeal on your behest for the sake of humanity. But never again," he said. Cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir also slammed Afridi for his comments. "Pak has 7 lakh force backed by 20 Cr ppl says 16 yr old man @SAfridiOfficial. Yet begging for Kashmir for 70 yrs. Jokers like Afridi, Imran & Bajwa can spew venom against India & PM @narendramodi ji to fool Pak ppl but won't get Kashmir till judgment day! Remember Bangladesh?" said Gambhir in a tweet.
