From his hometown Ranchi, CSK captain MS Dhoni will directly fly to Chennai to take part in the seven day training camp, that starts from August 15. Several reports suggested that players are supposed to undergo Coronavirus test after landing in Chennai. MS Dhoni and fast-bowler Monu Kumar have tested negative for Covid-19 and are clear to board flight from Ranchi. According to the officials, the franchise will ferry their players to UAE on August 21. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and Harbhajan Singh are the two high-profile names that will not take part in the one-week training camp, while bowling coach Lakshmipathy Balaji is most probably the only coaching staff present to be present in Chennai.
