Speaking after the conclusion of Day 3, the Kiwi all-rounder stated that constant partnerships helped his individual cause and team's cause overall, and that, he has gained immense confidence after his knock of 134.

We were both clear on what we needed to do. The objective was still to score runs. It's still a good wicket out there, so that's how it shaped up," said Rachin Ravindra.

"I think it gives you a bit of confidence, I guess. Although it's different with the white ball and the wicket, it still gives you a sense of the surroundings and brings back good memories. You know, you can visualize it the night before. It's always nice playing at this ground. The wicket is great for batting, so it's really enjoyable," added the New Zealand all-rounder.

"It's fantastic to have him here (his father), especially since it's his hometown, and he's got some family in the crowd too. The crowd has been amazing as well. I actually ended up taking the entire booklet of ticket allocations! Virat is obviously a world-class player, and he punished us today, but we've still got plenty of runs to defend," he further added.
