'India Won 119-113': Picture Of US Media Report Of India's Win Over Pakistan In T20 World Cup 2024 Goes Viral

IND vs PAK, T20 World Cup: US Media is still getting used to cricket scorecards as it described India's win over Pakistan as "India Won 119-113."

The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 is being played in the United States of America (USA) and the Caribbean Islands. While West Indies is not new to cricket, the sport remains relatively unknown in America. Even as the land is getting familiar to the sport and the US Media is getting used to cricket reporting, cricket scorecard is something that would take time for them to make sense of.

A picture of a New York Times report of the India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup 2024 match has surfaced on social media which reported that high-voltage affair but used NBA-style of scorelines to suggest India won the fixture '119-113'. Notably, India managed to put on 119 before keeping Pakistan down to 113. In cricketing register, it is usually reported as India beat Pakistan by 6 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah Adjudged Player Of The Match in IND vs PAK

Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers for Team India as India won the match over their arch-rivals. India did not put on what could be termed a high score in this format of the game but Bumrah's 3/14 off his 4 overs helped them get over the line. Hardik Pandya's 2/24 off his 4 overs and Axar Patel 1/11 off his 2 overs also had a part to play in India's successful defence of 119.

For Pakistan, their bowlers had done a good job with Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf picking three wickets apiece and Mohammad Amir also picking 2 wickets but their batters failed to put their hand up yet again, resulting in their second successive defeat in T20 World Cup 2024.
