T20 World Cup: Rohit Sharma Travels On His Own For Perth Presser, No Official At Airport To Pick Him Up

Men In Blue skipper Rohit Sharma had to travel back and forth from Melbourne to Perth for a press conference.

T20 World Cup: Days after India vs Pakistan mega encounter, BCCI is reportedly not happy with the management of the Indian team and the facilities provided. Ahead of the second encounter against the Netherlands, Men In Blue skipper Rohit Sharma had to travel back and forth from Melbourne to Perth for a press conference. Sharma travelled via taxi on his own from the airport to the designated venue. There was no one at the airport to pick Indian captain or drop him off after the press conference.

A new practice facility was also provided to the Indian team after the earlier arrangement was 42 km away from the team venue. It was not feasible for the team to travel that far for practice just a day before the match.

Earlier, the food offered to Team India in Sydney after practice was not good news agency ANI reported on Wednesday citing BCCI sources. The BCCI sources claimed that the team was given sandwiches.

“The food that was offered to Team India was not good. They were just given sandwiches and they have also told ICC that food provided after the practice session in Sydney was cold and not good,” ANI reported citing BCCI sources.

The Rohit Sharma-led Indian team started off their World Cup campaign on Hugh as they defeated Pakistan by four wickets at MCG on Sunday.  India will be next playing against the Netherlands on Thursday at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

India squad: Rohit Sharma (Captain), KL Rahul (vice-captain), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Dinesh Karthik (wicket-keeper), Hardik Pandya, R. Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Shami.
