Darwish Rasooli won the coin toss and elected to bat first at the Al Ameerat Cricket Ground, and the decision proved to be a gem, as openers Sediqullah Atal and Zubaid Akbari provided Afghanistan A with a dream start.

The duo notched up a 100+ partnership which denied India A bowlers to gain any sort of momentum. After receiving a hammering from the Afghan openers, India A finally managed to get their first wicket of the night in the form of Zubai Akbari.

His opening partner missed out on an exceptional ton, as he was bowled on 83, but his powerful innings guided Afghanistan A to 206/4. Rasikh Salam was the only standout performer with the ball from India, as he scalped 3 wickets, and gave away merely 25 run in his four overs.

In reply, India A never looked threatening and lost wickets at regular intervals. Ramandeep Singh's excellent 64 off 34 salvaged some pride for the nation, as they managed to cross the 180-run mark by finishing their innings at 186/7.

Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar, merely 18 years old, delivered a stunning performance with the ball, as his early wickets in India A's chase derailed the side's momentum and Afghanistan A are now in their first-ever Emerging Asia Cup final.
