Even though Babar Azam is facing severe criticism for his poor form with some even questoning his captaincy in white-ball cricket, there is no denying the fact that he remains one of their best batting talents among the current crop of players. He is also one of the most popular names in the Pakistan batting lineup and a visual evidence of the same was on display during a Pakistan One Day Cup Match.

Notably, Babar Azam is playing for Stallions in the ongoing Champions One-Day Cup in Pakistan. The 29-year was batting for the Mohammad Haris-led side against Mohammad Rizwan's Markhors in match number 4 of the competition in Faisalabad on Sunday (September 15). Walking out at the number 3 position, Babar looked good while he stayed on the crease but departed for 45 off 45. Babar even smashed five fours in an over off Shahnawaz Dhani. However, as soon as Babar got out, fans started to leave the stadium.

Markhors Beat Stallions By 126 Runs

As long as Babar was out in the middle, Stallions looked in control of the 232 run chase. However, as soon as he got out, the Stallions lost their way big time and ended up getting bowled out for 105.

Zahid Mahmood was the pick of the bowlers for Markhors who ended up winning the match by 126 runs. The leg-break bowler scalped 5 wickets for 18 runs in his 4.4 overs. Salman Agha picked up 3 wickets while Naseem Shah bagged 2 wickets to ensure they hand a heaby defeat to the Stallions in this fixture.
