MS Dhoni Waves To Fans From House Terrace On Birthday, Video Goes Viral
MS Dhoni, one of the greatest to have led the Indian men's cricket team, turned 42 on Friday.
One of India's legendary cricket captains MS Dhoni celebrated his 42nd birthday on Friday. Despite having announced his retirmement from international cricket in 2020, Dhoni continues to be a celebrated figure not only in India and around the world. He remains the only captain in the world to have clinched all the three white-ball ICC trophies.
On his special day, fans of the wicketkeeper-batter, who recently lead the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to their record-equalling fifth IPL title, not only flooded social media with messages and wishes for the great cricketer but some also gathered outside his house Ranchi. And now, a video of Dhoni acknowledging his fans has surfaced on social media. In the viral clip, Dhoni can be seen waving to his fans the terrace of his residence.

While there were several speculation which suggested that Dhoni might be playing his last IPL in 2022, after having equalled Rohit Sharma's record for having the most number of IPL trophies as a leader, he announced that he would be back for another season. He said that even though the moment after winning the IPL would be the perfect one to announce his retirment, he wants to return for another season for his fans.

Dhoni struggled with a knee injury throughout IPL 2023. However, he did not miss a match for his side. Once the IPL concluded, Dhoni opeted for a surgery in Mumbai. Even though the cricketer did suggest that IPL 2023 wasn't his last as a player, a final call on his participation in the next year's tournament would depend on how well he recovers from the injury and whether his body is ready for the exertion of another packed season of the IPL.
