Ishant, Smith in mimicry competition; Kohli laughs his heart out

New Delhi: Ashwin will play under Smith in about a month’s time. Ishant had shared the same dressing room with the Australian captain in the previous year – These two facts may appear a hoax if one had witnessed the first session of Day 2 in the second Test between India-Australia at Bengaluru.

It was the Indians who took the game of aggression to the Aussies. Interestingly, it was not verbal all the time. It had expressions, it had stares, it had everything.

But nothing can beat the incident in the 27th over of the Australian innings. The altercation or the ‘mimicry competition’ between Ishant Sharma and Steve Smith was nothing short of hilarious. Ask Virat Kohli and he will tell you. 

Ishant was the one who made a face to the Australian captain after he had survived an Ishant delivery which kept low. Smith decided to return the favour by almost dancing in the next ball. 

Virat Kohli, at first slip had the best seat in the house while all this was taking place. The Indian captain could not control himself from having a chuckle.         

 

Previously, it was Ashwin who started it all by throwing a ball to David Warner and then having an altercation with Matt Renshaw when he obstructed Ashiwn while going for a run.
