Gautam Gambhir Likely To Take Over As India Head Coach: Even though there is no official confirmation by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Gautam Gambhir, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) mentor, it is being reported is all set to take over as the India head coach. While there hasn't been any confirmation by the Indian cricket board or the ex-India cricketer, a media report suggests that a high-profile owner of an IPL franchise, who is close to the Board, has confirmed Gambhir's appointment.
A report carried by Cricbuzz has made the claim, also revealing that the mantra of the coach selection circle which happens to be: 'desh ke liye karna hai' loosely translating to 'we must do it for the country.' Both BCCI as well as Gambhir seem to be on the same page as far as this buzzword is concerned with Secretary Jay Shah and Gambhir's conversation revolving around this theme.

Multiple Career Opportunities For Gautam Gambhir
As far as Gambhir's career is concerned, there are multiple career options ahead of him and he is weighing in all the options ahead of taking a call. While he is a successful cricket pundit, appearing on broadcast networks and news channels, he has now also proven himself as a mentor and coach with KKR. However, an India head coach role may not allow him the luxury of trying his hands at more than one thing, something which he can do if he continues to stay with KKR.
