Rohit Sharma & Co. Meet Australian PM Anthony Albanese At Parliament House In Canberra Ahead Of D/N Practice Match
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese met the Indian cricket team ahead of their two-day warm-up match against the Prime Minister’s XI, set to begin on November 30.
The Indian cricket team met the Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese at the Parliament House in Canberra, Australia on November 28 (Thursday). Rohit Sharma & co. are set to play a three-day practice match against the Prime Minister’s XI in the Australian capital, starting November 30, ahead of the second India vs Australia Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 series in Adelaide from December 6.
A video shared on X (formerly Twitter) captured Indian captain Rohit Sharma introducing his teammates to the Australian PM. During the introductions, Albanese can be seen briefly interacting with Jasprit Bumrah and Virat Kohli.

The Australian PM also shared photos on Instagram of his interaction with Team India, including star players Rohit and Kohli. He also took a selfie with several Indian cricketers, including Rohit, Mohammed Siraj, Akash Deep, Prasidh Krishna, Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill.
"Big challenge ahead for the PM’s XI at Manuka Oval this week against an amazing Indian side. But as I said to PM @narendramodi, I’m backing the Aussies to get the job done," he wrote the caption for the pictures.

Coming to the IND vs AUS Test series, India handed Australia their second-biggest defeat in Tests at home as India, led by Jasprit Bumrah, defeated the Aussies by 295 runs. Bumrah, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli were the standout performers for the visitors.
