Delhi Traffic Advisory Issued For India vs Afghanistan ICC Cricket World Cup Match; Check Routes To Avoid

Delhi Traffic Advisory for IND vs AFG World Cup Match: The traffic advisory by New Delhi Traffic Police will help commuters reach different locations while avoiding certain routes.

Delhi Traffic Advisory For India vs Afghanistan ICC Cricket World Cup Match: Delhi has issued a traffic advisory in view of ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 match to be played between India and Afghanistan at the Arun Jaitely Stadium in New Delhi on October 11 (Wednesday), 2023. Traffic diversions/restrictions issued for the convenience of the public will be effective for the day. The traffic advisory by New Delhi Traffic Police will help commuters reach different locations while avoiding certain routes including Rajghat to Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg.

"No heavy vehicles and buses will be allowed on the roads from Daryaganj to Bahadurshah Zafar Marg and from Guru Nanak Chowk to Asaf Ali Road," the advisory issued by Delhi Traffic Police said.

Diversion / Restriction: Due to safety and security reasons, there will be diversion/ restriction on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and JLN Marg, according to the advisory issued. No heavy vehicles and buses shall be allowed on the roads, from Daryaganj to Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and from Guru Nanak Chowk to Asaf Ali Road.

Commuters are requested to avoid following roads from 12 noon to 12 midnight on the day of match i.e. 11.10.23

1. Rajghat to JLN Marg

2. JLN Marg from R/A Kamla Market to Rajghat

3. Asaf Ali Road from Turkman Gate to Delhi Gate

4. Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg from Ram Charan Aggarwal Chowk to Delhi Gate

How To Take Entry To The Stadium

Gate Nos. 1,2,3,4,5,6&7 are located on the Southern side of the stadium and entry to these gates shall be entertained from Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg.

On the Eastern side of the stadium are Gate Nos 8,9,10,11,12, 13,14&15 and these gates shall be entertained from JLN Marg next to Ambedkar Stadium Bus Terminal.

On the Western Side of the stadium is gate nos 16,17 and 18 and entry to these gates will be entertained from Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, near Petrol Pump.
