India enforce follow-on after bowling out Sri Lanka for 183
New Delhi: Superb bowling effort from India saw them bowl out Sri Lanka for mere 183 runs and take 439 runs lead in the second Test match in Colombo on Saturday.
India skipper Virat Kohli decided to enforce follow-on and the hosts will start their second innings with 439 runs in deficit.
Ravichandran Ashwin was the pick among the Indian bowlers as he picked five wickets for 69, while the world No.1 bowler, Ravinder Jadeja scalped two wickets for 84.
Ashwin added another feather to his hat as he overtook Harbhajan Singh for the most five-for’s to take second spot. He trails Anil Kumble, who has 35 five-for’s in 132 Test matches
Nicroshan Dickwella fought lone battle for the Dinesh Chandimal lead side by scoring 51 runs before being dismissed by Mohammed Shami.
With India inching closer to victory, a win here would seal them series victory as they already won the first test at Galle.
