Manmohan Singh Death: Ghulam Nabi Azad Gets Emotional Upon Remembering Former PM
Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad expressed deep sorrow over the demise of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, who passed away at the age of 92 after being admitted to AIIMS, Delhi, due to a sudden deterioration in his health. Dr. Singh served as Prime Minister from 2004 to 2014, leading the nation for a decade. Reflecting on his time with Dr. Singh, Ghulam Nabi Azad stated, "I am deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Manmohan Singh, a visionary leader and one of India’s most respected statesmen. Having had the privilege of serving twice in his cabinet, I witnessed firsthand his exceptional humility, intelligence, and grace." He further added that Dr. Singh empowered his team to work with freedom and trust, fostering an environment of collaboration and excellence. During challenging times, Dr. Singh provided India with much-needed economic leadership, global recognition, stability, and unity. Sharing a photograph of him embracing Dr. Singh, Azad emphasized that his contributions as an economist and politician will remain etched in the history of a rising India.
