India captain Rohit Sharma has a chance to script history when the 'Men in Blue' play their final Group A match against Canada on Saturday (June 15) at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill in Florida. India are already in the Super 8s and will play their first match in Supers 8s against Afghanistan on Thursday (June 20).

The 37-year-old senior opener has so far hit 194 sixes in 154 T20Is in his career. Rohit needs to hit six more sixes to become the first player in history of international cricket to hit 200 sixes in T20Is. He is also the joint-leading run scorer (4042 runs) for India in T20Is.

India captain Rohit Sharma tops the elite list of batters with maximum sixes in T20Is with 194 sixes. At number two is New Zealand's Martin Guptill. He has so far hit 173 sixes in 122 T20Is. England's T20I skipper Jos Buttler is at number three with 130 sixes, whereas Australia's Glenn Maxwell and Ireland's Paul Stirling are joint-fourth with 128 sixes. Suryakumar Yadav, one of the best T20I batters of all time, holds the fifth position in this elite list with 125 sixes.

Rohit Sharma has so far scored 68 runs in three T20 World Cup 2024 group matches. He played a vaillant 52-run innings against Ireland in New York on June 5, then played a 13-run knock against Pakistan on June 9 and scored mere 3 runs in India's most-recent match against USA.

Rohit hit three sixes during the match against Ireland, making him the first cricketer in the world to hit 600 sixes in international cricket. The senior opener is the only Indian player who has represented his national team in all nine T20 World Cup editions.
