Rahim surpassed Tamim Iqbal to become Bangladesh's highest run-scorer in international cricket, with 15,205 runs in 514 innings.

Iqbal, previously holding the record, scored 15,192 runs in 448 innings. Following them, Shakib Al Hasan sits third with 14,641 runs in 485 innings, while Mahmudullah (10,694) and Liton Das (7,127) complete the top five Bangladeshi run-scorers.

IND vs BAN 1st Test: India In Cruise Control; Bad Light Stops Play

Day 3 of IND vs BAN 1st Test in Chennai was halted early due to bad light, with Bangladesh at 158/4, chasing a daunting target of 515.

Despite India captain Rohit Sharma's appeal to continue play using spin, the umpires stopped the match. To recover lost time, Day 4 will begin at 9:20 AM IST, 10 minutes earlier than planned.

Hosts India remain in control of the game, as Bangladesh faces an uphill battle to avoid defeat.

For India, Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant, and Ravichandran Ashwin starred with standout performances. Gill and Pant each scored centuries, helping India build a commanding lead. Ashwin then inflicted serious damage on Bangladesh, claiming three crucial top-order wickets before umpired stopped day's play due to bad light.
