Bangladesh Squad For India Series Announced: The Bangladesh squad for the two-match Test series against India was announced on September 12 (Thursday).
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced Bangladesh squad for the two-match Test series against India. While Najmul Hossain Shanto will continue to lead the team, Bangladesh have made a surprising decision giving Jaker Ali a place in the side while leaving out Shoriful Islam.
The first Test of the two-match series will get underway in Chennai while the second Test will be played at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur.

Shakib Al Hasan, Litton Das, Mushfiqur Rahim All Part Of Bangladesh Side
Veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, batter Litton Das and middle-order batting stalwart Mushfiqur Rahim have all been given a place in the Test team for the India series. Notably, all these three players played pivotal role in the team's maiden series win over Pakistan. The likes of Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Nayeem Hasan and Nahid Rana have also feature in the team.
The two Test matches will be followed by a T20I series. However, the squad for the white-ball series has not been announced by the BCB yet and might come midway through the Test matches. The Test series is part of the World Test Championship 2023-25 with points on offer for both the teams, crucial for India's qualificaition for the summit clash next year.
