Harmanpreet, bowlers star in 5th T20I against Lanka to clinch series 4-0

The Indian women’s cricket team hammered Sri Lanka by 51 runs in the fifth and the final T20I face-off to capture the series 4-0 at the Free Trade Zone Sports Complex, Katunayake on Tuesday.
India put up a competitive score of 156 runs after batting first. Credit goes to skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (63 off 38) and young woman batting sensation Jemimah Rodrigues (46 off 31) as they stitched a 75-run partnership for the 3rd wicket to take the team to a respectable position.
In reply, Sri Lanka collapsed to 105 in the 18th over, handing over a stunning victory to Indian eves.
Indian bowlers showcased a terrific performance to clinch the final match. Deepti Sharma removed both openers, Yasoda Mendis and Chamari Atapattu, within ten balls. Later, Siriwardene smashed her for three fours to score an 18-ball 22 before getting bowled off Radha Yadav’s bowling.
Anushka Sanjeewani (29) and Oshadi Ranasinghe (22) added 39 for the fourth wicket.
