Deepti Sharma attained a new career-best rating on the latest ICC Women's ODI Player Rankings for bowlers owing to her recent strong performances in the ongoing IND vs NZ ODI series at home.
Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma attained a new career-best rating on the latest ICC Women's ODI Player Rankings for bowlers released on October 29 (Tuesday) owing to her recent strong performances in the ongoing India Women vs New Zealand Women three-match ODI series in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Deepti also fared well for India in the recently-concluded Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, where India crashed out from the group stage itself.
Deepti Sharma has climbed two spots to achieve a career-best No. 2 position in the ICC Women's ODI bowlers rankings with the rating of 687, as per the latest update released by the International Cricket Council (ICC). However, Sophie Ecclestone of England remains at the summit of the rankings with the rating of 770. England’s Kate Cross and Megan Schutt of Australia both dropped by one position each.

Deepti Sharma Has Emerged As India's Standout Bowler In IND vs NZ ODIs
In the first ODI against the White Ferns, Deepti Sharma took the wicket of Georgia Plimmer, finishing with figures of 1 for 35 in 9 overs. She was good in the second match as well, where she dismissed both Plimmer and Isabella Gaze, achieving figures of 2 for 30 in 10 overs. Three wickets in the two ODIs came at an exceptional economy rate of 3.42 for Deepti.
In the ongoing IND vs NZ 3rd ODI too, Deepti shone with the ball as she scalped three wickets giving away just 39 runs in 10 overs, helping India restrict New Zealand at 232 in 49.5 overs int he first innings of the series-decider at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
In the ODI all-rounder rankings too, Deepti made strides as she has ascended to the No. 4 spot. Sophie Devine of New Zealand has risen two spots to No. 7. The top-ranked all-rounder is Marizanne Kapp of South Africa, followed by Hayley Matthews of West Indies and Nat Sciver-Brunt of England.
