'Please Do Speak About Pakistani Hindus': Danish Kaneria On Irfan Pathan's Plea For Peace In Gaza
Irfan Pathan later responded to Danish Kaneria's request.
Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan recently addressed the Israel-Hamas conflict on his X account, calling for the restoration of peace, particularly in the war-torn Gaza. He appealed to world leaders to come together to end the tragic loss of lives in Gaza, especially among innocent children, while the world remains seemingly indifferent to the devastation. His X (formerly Twitter) post gained significant attention, with many praising him for using his extensive following to advocate for peace.
Irfan's post read: "Every day, innocent children aged 0-10 in Gaza are losing their lives, and the world remains silent. As a sportsman, I can only speak out, but it's high time for world leaders to unite and put an end to this senseless killing. @UN #StopTheViolence #GazaChildren."
'Please Do Speak About Pakistani Hindus As Well': Danish Kaneria
Former Pakistani cricketer Danish Kaneria, who is only the second Hindu from Pakistan to have played for the national cricket team, shared Irfan's post on his X account and encouraged the Indian pacer to also raise his voice for the rights of Hindus in Pakistan who have faced discrimination in the neighbouring country.
"Irfan bhai, I'm happy that you understand the pain of children, and I stand with you on that. But please do speak about Pakistani Hindus as well. The situation is not very different here in Pakistan," read Danish’s reply to Irfan's tweet on X.

Danish has been an outspoken critic of the treatment of Hindus in Pakistan for a long time, which is an Islamic nation. He has accused several past Pakistani cricket greats, including Shahid Afridi, of displaying discrimination in the dressing room during his playing days.
In response, Irfan expressed his willingness to address various issues, emphasising the importance of discussing and eliminating wrongdoing regardless of faith.
He wrote, "Sure Brother Danish, glad you are standing with me on this topic. let’s talk about all the evil around the world so hopefully we can eliminate wrong doings regardless of any faith."
