T20 World Cup: Two of the strongest teams meet in the first group stage match of the T20 World Cup 2021. This is the first match of Group 1. Australia won the toss and they decided to put South Africa into bat first. 

South African captain, Temba Bavuma said, "It's been a privilege to lead the team in the tournament, big responsibility and looking forward to it. Two spinners, KG, Nortje, an all-rounder and an extra batsman in Klassen at 6. Our preparations have been good, have played a lot together."

He sounded confident ahead of the toss. 

Aaron Finch, the Aussie skipper said, "Looks like a good wicket, can't see things changing a lot during the course of the game. We have a lot of experience in the side, we haven't played as a group, but we're looking forward to this tournament."

A match-winning knock from all-rounder Marcus Stoinis powered Australia to a five-wicket win in a low-scoring thriller against South Africa in T20 World Cup opener on Saturday. Batting first, South Africa has set a target of 119 runs for Australia to win. Aidan Markram scored the highest 40 runs for SouthAfrica. Apart from him, no batsman could play sustainably. For Australia, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Adam Zampa got two wickets each while Pat Cummins and Glenn Maxwell got one wicket each.
