Royal Enfield hikes prices of all models

Share:
New Delhi: The Royal Enfield has begun selling high volumes in India, which has made the British motorcycle maker one of the fastest growing brands in the country. The growth sales has reposed confidence for the Royal Enfield that they have now increased the prices of all its models. However, the Brit manufacturer hasn’t attributed any reason for the rise in prices of its motorcycles. The highest price hike is faced by the Classic 500 Chrome, which has gone up by Rs. 3,600 to retail at Rs. 1,78,058 (ex-showroom, Delhi. The lowest is for the Himalayan, which now sells for Rs. 1,56,331 (ex-showroom, Delhi), registering a price hike of Rs. 1,100. The Royal Enfield has increased the prices of its models already in this year. The increase in sales volumes has also increased the waiting periods for most of the Royal Enfield motorcycles to over one to two months, for the Bullet or Classic 350. The steepest price hike of Rs. 3,600 may be considered a little high but Royal Enfield enthusiasts won’t flinch. They will buy Royal Enfield motorcycles, even if they have to pay a premium over the past price. So, the price rise won’t for sure affect the sales of the brand or lower its volume, which it has attained of late. The current prices of the Royal Enfield models after the price hike are: Bullet 350 - Rs 1,09,392 Bullet Electra 350 - Rs 1,23,469 Classic 350 - Rs 1,31,368 Thunderbird 350 - Rs 1,41,706. Bullet 500 - Rs 1,57,047 Classic 500 - Rs 1,67,533 Classic 500 Desert Storm - Rs 1,70,307 Classic 500 Chrome - Rs 1,78,058 Thunderbird  500 - Rs 1,79,518, Continental GT - Rs 1,98,699 Himalayan - Rs 1,56,331 (all ex-showroom prices, Delhi) Source: vicky.in
