  • 1 Cup Fresh Strawberries
  • 1 Liter Milk
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 0.5 Cup Chopped Almonds For Garnish

Drain the soaked rice and grind it into a coarse paste, adding a little water if necessary.

In a heavy-bottomed pan, heat the milk and bring it to a boil, stirring continuously for about 5 minutes.

Step 3

Reduce the heat and slowly add the rice paste to the boiling milk, stirring constantly to prevent lumps. Keep stirring and cook on low heat until the rice is fully cooked and the mixture thickens.

Step 4

Puree the strawberries and mix them into the rice-milk mixture. Simmer on low heat for 5 to 10 minutes to allow the flavours to blend.

Step 5

Add Powdered sugar, stirring well until it completely dissolves.

Remove the phirni from heat and set it aside to cool.

Step 7

Once cooled, pour the phirni into small serving bowls and refrigerate until it sets completely.
