The NDRF currently has 12 battalions, each of which has 1149 soldiers. The National Disaster Response Force has carried out 3,100 operations, saving almost one lakh lives. During calamities, the Force has rescued and evacuated approximately 6.7 lakh people. (Image Source: PTI)
