New Delhi: In the age of online dating, a 29-year-old lonely Punjabi Muslim bachelor in the UK has smeared himself on billboards in the hopes of finding a wife.

People in the streets of London and Birmingham were amused to see a man lying down on a purple screen and pointing at a line that said, "Save me from an arranged marriage," as the New Year began.

“I just haven’t found the right girl yet. It’s tough out there. I had to get a billboard to get seen!” the website set up by Malik reads.

"My ideal mate would be a Muslim woman in her twenties who is dedicated to improving her faith. I'm open to people of any race, but I come from a noisy Punjabi family, so you'd have to keep up with the bants," he adds.

Muhammad is originally from London, but considers Birmingham to be a "second home" because of the "high-quality cuisine outlets in the city centre, vibrant Alum Rock, and magnificent mosques."

As per Daily Mail online, Muhammad has also featured on billboards throughout the city, including Golden Hillock Road and Hockley Circus.
