Pakistan Records 7,678 Fresh Covid-19 Cases In Last 24 Hrs, Highest Since Pandemic Began

Pakistan in the last 24 hours recorded 7,678 new COVID-19 cases, the data shared by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) showed on Friday.

New Delhi: Pakistan on Friday reported as many as 7,678 new Coronavirus cases, the highest single-day increase in cases since the start of the pandemic. As indicated by the Ministry of National Health Services, the nation enlisted 23 fatalities, taking the death toll to 29,065.

The data additionally showed that the number of positive cases flooded to 13,53,479. The past most elevated of 6,825 was accounted for on June 13, 2020, the ministry information showed.

The first case of the nation was detected in February 2020.

As per information from the National Command Operation Center (NCOC), the positivity ratio has reached 12.93 percent, adding that 12,65,665 patients have recovered while 961 are in critical condition.

The data likewise mirrored that up to this point, 10,29,75,552 people have accepted their first dose of vaccine, while 7,88,60,543 have been completely inoculated. While the total administered doses have reached 17,07,11,868 with 7,86,027 in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, India recorded more than 3.47 lakh new Covid cases (3,47,254) as of now finishing at 9 am on Friday. With 2.51 lakh new (2,51,777) recoveries, the country's active caseload is currently at 20,18,825. The complete count of Omicron cases in the nation has ascended to 9,692, denoting a 4.36 percent increase since yesterday.
