Actor Allu Arjun, along with the makers of Pushpa, has announced financial assistance of ₹2 crore to support the family of the woman who tragically lost her life during a stampede at a Hyderabad theatre on December 4. The incident occurred during a screening of Pushpa 2, leaving the woman's eight-year-old son hospitalised with severe injuries.

Allu Arjun and makers to give Rs 2 Crore to the family of deceased

Allu Arjun’s father, veteran producer Allu Aravind, along with Dil Raju and others, visited the private hospital where the injured boy is being treated. Doctors informed them that the child’s condition is improving, and he can now breathe independently. They remain optimistic about his full recovery.

Announcing the financial support, Allu Aravind shared that Allu Arjun contributed ₹1 crore, the production house Mythri Movie Makers donated ₹50 lakh, and director Sukumar also added ₹50 lakh. These funds have been handed over to Dil Raju, who will ensure the assistance reaches the boy’s family. Legal procedures have restricted direct contact with the family without prior clearance.

Meanwhile, Telangana State Film Development Corporation (FDC) Chairman and producer Dil Raju announced that a delegation of film industry representatives would meet Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday. The meeting aims to strengthen ties between the state government and the film fraternity.

A case has since been registered against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) following a complaint by the deceased woman's family.

Allu Arjun was subsequently arrested on December 13 in connection with the incident. However, the Telangana High Court granted him interim bail for four weeks on the same day, and he was released from custody on December 14.
