An earthquake of magnitude of 4.5 hit Pakistan early Friday morning.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter Scale struck Pakistan early Friday morning. The tremors were felt at 5:14 am at a depth of 10 km, as recorded by the National Centre for Seismology in India. Further details on the magnitude, epicentre, and damage are yet to be confirmed.

Pakistan has experienced numerous large earthquakes, as several of its regions are at high seismic risk due to the presence of multiple active fault lines. The country is located within a well-known high seismic belt, where various tectonic plates meet.
Earlier, an earthquake of 6.1 magnitude hit Nepal's Kathmandu. The earthquake was felt in and around the Kathmandu valley. There has been no immediate report of any damage or casualty from the earthquake.
According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre, a 6.1-magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale was recorded at 2:51 am along Kodari Highway in Sindhupalchowk district, 65 km east of Kathmandu. The National Centre for Seismology in India, however, estimated it at 5.5 at 2:36 am.
Tremors were also felt in Patna, Samastipur, and Muzaffarpur and other regions in Bihar.
On Thursday, an earthquake struck Assam's Morigaon early, causing panic among residents, who rushed out of their homes and buildings in fear. Tremors were felt across the state and neighbouring regions.
