'Hate Elon, Hate Trump': Musk Targets US Ex-President Again, Deletes Tweet Later

The latest tweet comes from Musk comes as the war between the two prolific personalities seems to have escalated over the Republican nomination for the presidential election of 2024.

The war of words between former US President Donald Trump and Elon Musk heated up on Wednesday, with the Tesla and SpaceX CEO posting a meme on Twitter showing two photos depicting "Hate Elon" and "Hate Trump" buttons. The meme depcited a man with "Far Left" written on him and looking utterly confused as he checks out the two options. However, the tweet was deleted shortly from the platform.

The reaction from Elon Musk comes after Trump took a jibe at the Tesla CEO for terminating the $44 billion Twitter deal. Trump also called Musk "another bull s*** artist". The spat began after Trump claimed that Musk voted for him. However, Musk has denied the claim.

"Elon is not gonna buy Twitter... Where did you hear that before? From me. He said the other day I have never voted for a Republican. I said - 'Well I did not know that, you told me that you voted for me," Trump said at a Save America rally in Anchorage, Alaska.

Musk, who has more than 100 million followers, reacted to the remark, saying that it was time for former US President Donald Trump to "hang up his hat and sail into the sunset".

“I don’t hate the man, but it’s time for Trump to hang up his hat & sail into the sunset. Dems should also call off the attack – don’t make it so that Trump’s only way to survive is to regain the Presidency," Musk tweeted.

The latest tweet comes from Musk as the war between the two prolific personalities escalated over the Republican nomination for the presidential election of 2024.

One Twitter user reacted to the meme saying, “Trump wants to regain his social media presence after you basically took the spot from him since he left twitter.”

Last month, Musk said he was leaning toward voting for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican, in the 2024 presidential election.

Musk had earlier criticised far-left progressives, expressing his political views, when he said in April, “The far left hates everyone, themselves included!”  However, he followed up  with another tweet reading, “But I’m no fan of the far right either. Let’s have less hate and more love.”

Meanwhile, Twitter initiated legal action against Tesla chief Elon Musk on Tuesday for abandoning the $44 billion deal to buy the social media platform at a Delaware court, demanding the world's richest entrepreneur to complete the deal at the agreed $54.20 per Twitter share.
