Prime Minister Narendra Modi flaged off two Vande Bharat Express trains -- Gorakhpur-Lucknow and Jodhpur-Sabarmati -- on Friday. This brings the total number of semi-high speed trains in the country to 25.

The Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express will connect Jodhpur in Rajasthan and Ahmedabad in Gujarat. It will have stoppages at Mahesana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Falna, and Pali Marwar stations. 

The train, having eight coaches, will run six days a week except on Tuesdays. The Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat train will improve connectivity to places such as Jodhpur, Abu Road and Ahmedabad.

Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express Stoppages

The Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express will run between Jodhpur in Rajasthan and Ahmedabad in Gujarat. During the journey, the train will have stoppages at Mahesana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Falna, and Pali Marwar stations in both directions. 

From Ahmedabad, it will depart from Sabarmati railway station at 4:45 pm and reach Jodhpur at 10:55 pm on the same day. On its return journey, the train will depart from Jodhpur (Bhagat Ki Kothi railway station) at 5:55 am and reach Ahmedabad (Sabarmati) at 12:05 pm on the same day, the Western Railways (WR) said in an official release.

It will cover 446-km distance to Sabarmati in 6.5 hours.

Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express Fare 

The Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express train tickets will cost anywhere between Rs 800 and Rs 1,600. It will offer two categories of seating to the passengers -- Executive Class and the AC Chair Car. The train is expected to have seven AC Chair coaches and one Executive Class coach.

The Vande Bharat Express between Jodhpur and Sabarmati will operate all days a week except Tuesdays.
