VIRAL SACH: Soldiers will have to buy army uniform from their own money?
Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday also hit out at the government for making "empty slogans" and accused it of asking soldiers to buy their own clothes and shoes.
New Delhi: On social media, a viral message is being circulated where it is claimed that army jawans will have to buy uniform from their own hard earned money.
The post says that on supplies such as clothing combat dress, berets, belts, shoes, army jawans will have to spend their own money from civilian markets. The post says that jawans will have to send their own money because the government had cut the budget.
On the basis of this viral post, many on Twitter questioned the current government's decision. Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday also hit out at the government for making "empty slogans" and accused it of asking soldiers to buy their own clothes and shoes.
MAKE (empty slogans and useless acronyms) IN INDIA.... meanwhile, make our soldiers buy their own clothes and shoes," Gandhi said on Twitter.
While AAP’s Manish Sisodia on Twitter said that if this is true then perhaps it is the cruellest joke being done with the soldier. In the Tweet, he further said, this is an insult to the army.
