'Not Scared Of Anyone', Sanjay Raut Hits Back At BJP After Wife Receives Summons From ED
Shiv Sena's chief spokesperson Sanjay Raut made it clear that all efforts by BJP, using central agencies, to browbeat Shiv Sena-Nationalist Congress Party-Congress alliance in the state will not succeed.
Mumbai: A day after Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut's wife Varsha Raut was issued summon by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), the fiery Sena leader alleged that the central agency and BJP have "entered in an alliance". Varsha Raut has been asked by the ED to join the investigation on December 29 in PMC Bank scam case.
"Three BJP leaders regularly visit the ED office and collect documents. I have proof of this. How does the BJP come to know what cases the ED is probing, have they entered into an alliance with each other?," Sanjay Raut said while levelling allegations in a press conference today.
Raut also said, “if they (BJP) stoop so low targeting kids, women and family, Sena will reply to them in that fashion.” The Shiv Sena MP exclaimed he is "not scared of anyone" and will respond to such tactics in a similar manner.
He further added, that he has a list of BJP leaders which can be investigated by the ED. "I have a list of 120 BJP leaders (scams) which the ED can investigate for five years," Raut added during his presser.

Earlier today, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kirit Somaiya intensified his attack on the Sena leader. Somaiya through a series of tweets asked why the Sena leader reacted aggressively when the ED is merely seeking to interrogate his wife in connection with the case.
“Shiv Sena Leader Shri Sanjay Raut please clarify "whether Smt. Varsha Sanjay Raut has received 3 summons (notices) to appear before ED in 4th week of November, 2nd Week of December and 4th Week of December 2020!? Understood ED investigating PMC Bank, HDIL flow of funds,” Somaiya tweeted.

“If ED asks a family how what for you/your Family received Rs 55 lakh from HDIL, then what is wrong? It must be noted that PMC bank got burst due to HDIL,” he added.
“Senior Citizens Depositors to #PMCBank to #HDIL (Wadhwan Brothers) to Praveen Raut to Madhuri Pravin Raut to Varsha/ #SanjayRaut. 1st Notice, 2nd Notice, 3rd Notice of ED in last few months, then also No Response! Why? Beneficiary ne Hisab to Dena Padega."
