The Rozgar Mela initiative was launched in October last year and Tuesday's event will be held at 43 centers.

Under the 'Rozgar Mela' initiative, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute about 70,000 appointment letters to new recruits on Tuesday (June 13) at 10:30 AM via video conferencing. During the event, the Prime Minister will also address these new appointees.

The Rozgar Mela initiative was launched in October last year and Tuesday's event will be held at 43 centers.

The recruitments are taking place across Central government departments and several state governments/UTs are also supporting the initiative.

The new recruits, selected from across the country, will be joining the government in various departments, including the Department of Financial Services, Department of Posts, Department of School Education, and the Department of Higher Education.

Other departments in which the new recruits will be joining are the Ministry of Defence, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Atomic Energy, Ministry of Railways, Department of Audit and Accounts, Department of Atomic Energy and Ministry of Home Affairs, among others, said the PMO.

The Rozgar Mela is a step towards the fulfilment of the commitment of the Prime Minister to accord the highest priority to employment generation in the country, said the official release.

The Rozgar Mela or Employment Fair is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development, the PMO further said.

The new recruits will get an opportunity to train themselves through 'Karmayogi Prarambh', where more than 400 e-learning courses have been made available for "anywhere any device" learning format.

The first Rozgar Mela took place on October 22 last year, in which, appointment letters were given to 75,000 new recruits.

The second, third, fourth and fifth editions took place on November 22, 2022, January 20, April 13, and June 13 respectively. Almost similar number of appointment letters were given to people in all these events.
