New Delhi: Taking a jibe at Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, state Congress chief Kamal Nath said the former won’t be rendered jobless after Congress is voted to power in the upcoming elections as CM Chouhan is a “good actor” and he can pursue a career in Mumbai.
Addressing a rally in Rehli assembly seat in Sagar in the poll-bound state, Nath said, “Shivraj Singh Chouhan will not be rendered jobless even when he is no longer the Chief Minister. He is a good actor and will go to Mumbai to pursue an acting career there and bring glory to Madhya Pradesh.”

“Only four days are left for the state BJP government, which is run by police, money and administration," Nath said.
Taking further potshots at the chief minister, the senior Congress leader also highlighted the unfulfilled promises of CM Chouhan, especially in the sector of generating job opportunities.
Notably, CM Chouhan had previously promised to providing one lakh jobs to the state's youth. However, Kamal Nath claimed that this promise remained unfulfilled. He also slammed the state government for failing to fill the backlog of vacant positions in the public sector.
“At least they (BJP) should have filled the backlog of posts lying vacant in the government," he added.
Coming down heavily on the BJP over its poll manifesto on Saturday, the former chief minister had said it does not mention the increasing the monthly financial aid under Ladli Bahna Yojana to Rs 3,000. He further claimed that several promises mentioned in the BJP manifesto have been copied from the Congress' announcements.
"It takes a lot of courage to lie. Shivraj ji, you have not left any city or town in Madhya Pradesh where you have not put up hoardings and banners promising to give Rs 3,000 to your sisters (under Ladli Bahna Yojana). But today when you released the Sankalp Patra, you didn't make any announcement (on it)," news agency PTI quoted Kamal Nath as saying.
