'If Junaid, Naseer Could Be Burnt Alive Then Who Am I?': Owaisi Blames BJP For Attack At His Delhi Residence

Talking about the Bhiwani incident where two men were allegedly thrashed and burnt alive in a car, he said, "if Junaid, & Naseer could be burnt alive then who is Asaduddin Owaisi."

New Delhi: A day after All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi's house was allegedly vandalised by a group of miscreants in the national capital, he said on Monday that he is not aware of who was involved in the incident.

Talking about the Bhiwani incident where two men were allegedly thrashed and burnt alive in a car, he said, "if Junaid, & Naseer could be burnt alive then who is Asaduddin Owaisi."

Speaking to ANI, he said, "I do not know who was involved in this. I was in Bharatpur, Rajasthan to meet families of Junaid & Naseer. A written complaint was given regarding this incident but in India, if Junaid & Naseer could be burnt alive then who is Asaduddin Owaisi."

According to the police, unidentified miscreants arrived at Owaisi's residence in Delhi and allegedly pelted stones at it on Sunday evening, damaging windows, as reported by the news agency ANI. The incident happened at the Delhi residence of the AIMIM chief in the Ashoka Road area at around 05.30 pm.

After returning to his home at night he found that stones were thrown at his residence. Owaisi approached the police and lodged a complaint after the incident.

Owaisi in his complaint to Parliament Street Police Station alleged that a group of miscreants pelted stones at his residence, and damaged windows.

"This is the fourth time such an attack has taken place. The area surrounding my house has enough CCTV cameras, and the same may be accessed, and the culprits should be apprehended immediately. It is conceived that such acts of vandalism are happening in such a high-security zone," the letter further stated. "Immediate action must be taken, and the culprits should be arrested at the earliest," he added in the letter.
