Delhi: Gym Trainer Arrested For Harassing Over 100 Women Online; Used To Send Obscene Videos, Texts

New Delhi: Delhi Police have arrested a man for stalking and harassing over hundred women online through fake accounts created on social media account.

The accused, who is a gym trainer, created fake id on Facebook and sent obscene videos and messages to over 100 girls.

Additional DCP (Southwest), Amit Goel, said that a woman living in Sagarpur Police Station area complained that obscene videos and messages were coming from a profile named Sheetal Thakur on her Facebook messenger.

The police official further said that the person, who created the profile named Sheetal Thakur, continued to stalk the woman on Facebook when she objected to his message and also said that he knew her personally.

He added that the police began its investigation based on the complaint.

Inspector Raman Kumar Singh of Cyber ​​Cell of South West district and a team of Sagarpur Police Station initiated the investigation into the matter and began to gather information about the profile created in the name of Sheetal Thakur on Facebook.

The police team found out a mobile number, which was issued in the name of Riyazuddin. Two more profiles were running from the same number.

The investigation revealed that the number was purchased with the help of fake identity card.

The police later arrested Vikas, who told them that he originally hailed from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, but had lived in Delhi with his parents since childhood.

The accused said that he is a gym trainer in Dwarka and is addicted to watching porn, adding that he wanted to make friends with girls by creating a fake profile because of this addiction.

The accused used to send obscene videos and messages to girls so that he could build proximity with them. He also harassed girls by creating fake profiles in the name of Pooja Kumari and Shivani Gupta.

The accused, who had made friends with over 2,000 people, used to send pornographic content to women and girls through these three profiles.
