Congress Forms Subject Committee For Plenary Session On Feb 24-26, Rahul Gandhi, Manmohan Singh Among Members
The three-day mega conclave will feature prominent party leaders from across the nation.
New Delhi: The Subjects Committee for the party's 85th Plenary session, which will take place in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, from February 24 to 26, was formed by the Congress on Friday. Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress parliamentary party chairperson Sonia Gandhi, former prime minister Manmohan Singh, and former party chief Rahul Gandhi are all members of the Committee.

The three-day megaconclave will feature prominent party leaders from across the nation.
Its members include, in addition to them, all of the party's steering committee members, chief ministers and CLP leaders, chiefs of state units, and heads of frontal organisations.
An official statement from AICC general secretary, organization, K C Venugopal stated, "As per Article XV of the Constitution of the Indian National Congress, the Congress president has constituted the Subjects Committee for the 85th Plenary session of the Indian National Congress to be held from February 24 to 26, 2023 in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, with immediate effect."

Abhishek Singhvi, Ajay Maken, Ambika Soni, Avinash Pande, Harish Rawat, Jairam Ramesh, Kumari Selja, K C Venugopal, Mukul Wasnik, Oommen Chandy, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, P Chidambaram, Randeep Surjewala, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary, Digvijaya Singh, and party treasurer Pawan Kumar Bansal are the other members of the Committee.
The panel also includes former chief ministers Bhupinder Singh Hooda, K Siddaramaiah, and O Ibobi Singh, as well as all PCC presidents and CLP leaders, including chief minister Ashok Gehlot, Bhupesh Baghel, and Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
Members of the panel include leaders of frontal organizations, members of Congress in Legislative Councils, and Nabam Tuki, president of the INTUC and chairman of the North East Coordination Congress Committee.
The grand old party also constituted a Constitution Amendment committee for the party’s session. The committee will be headed by Ambika Soni and Randeep Surjewala will be its convenor.
Party leaders K C Venugopal, Mukul Wasnik, Ajay Maken, Jitendra Singh, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Mohan Prakash, Deepa Dasmunshi and G Parameshwara are members of the committee which will look into the amendments to be brought in the party constitution.
