New Delhi: Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali who was allegedly assaulted by activists of a Rajput community group said that he is "Confident that Mewar will be proud of the film". "Confident that Mewar will be proud of the film; Don't want to hurt any sentiments and would appreciate if locals supported us," said Bhansali. "There's no dream sequence or any objectionable scene between Rani Padmavati and Allauddin Khilji; been carefully researching & making film," film maker added. However, he has stopped the shooting of the film. "Despite love for Rajasthan, for the safety of crew, decided to stop the shoot & leave the city post the incident," Sanjay Leela Bhansali said. Bhansali was allegedly assaulted by activists of a Rajput community group. They vandalised the set at Jaigarh Fort, slapped him and also teared off his clothes.
