ABP-CVoter Exit Poll: AAP To Get Another Shot In Delhi With 49-63 Seats, BJP To Get Just 5-19

The ABP-CVoter poll predicted AAP may get a vote share of 50.4% while the BJP is expected to pull around 36%. Congress is expected to get only 9% while others will snap up 4.7%.

Delhi Exit Poll Results 2020: An exit poll conducted by ABP-CVoter on Saturday projected a clean sweep for Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party in the bitterly-fought Delhi Assembly Elections. The exit poll has predicted AAP to get between 49 to 63 seats in the 70-member House, where the majority mark is 36, though it may lose a few seats here and there. BJP which aimed to return to power in the national capital is expected to win between a low of 5 seats to a high of 19 seats. This means the saffron party’s 22-year-old wait may extend for another five years for a shot in the capital's government. The survey also tipped Congress to be at a distant third with a maximum of four (0-4) seats in the polls. In the 2015 polls, AAP won 67 seats while the BJP collected the remaining three seats. The Congress had failed to bag even a single seat. The ABP-CVoter poll tipped AAP to get a vote share of 50.4% while the BJP is expected to pull around 36%. Congress is trailing way behind and is expected to get only 9% votes while others are likely to snap up 4.7%. For the BJP this could become the third defeat in a row at the state elections. The results point that voters are willing to vote for Modi but less willing to hand the party power at the state level. In the run-up to the polls, the Bharatiya Janata Party belligerently raised its voice against the anti-CAA protests in Shaheen Bagh, while the Aam Aadmi Party claimed it was fighting the high-stake elections on the plank of its development works. Congress, on the other hand, led a lacklustre campaign in the run-up the Delhi Assembly Elections. As polling concluded on Saturday evening, ABP News aired the exit poll results to give the viewers an indication of which party will hold the reins.
